Muhammad joins the Rubitek tech team as a software development technician apprentice. He will be working closely with our senior development teams as he undertakes his training and supporting existing customers with training, guides and practical tips.

What is your dream job?
My dream job would be to have my own company in the software industry where we develop all kinds of software for our customers. I'd like to be able to employ and support other apprentices just starting out on their career and have a strategic role in the business, making sure everything is running smoothly. I'd also want to be an investor in other companies that I believe in.
What would be your perfect weekend?
I have a large family and we love spending time together - like lots of other families, lockdown has been a real challenge for us. Whenever our family gets together, food plays an important role. After we've eaten together, we spend hours sitting and talking together and enjoying each others company.
What is your number one pet hate?
Messiness.
What three things would you take with you to a desert island?
The Quran, my phone (show me a 20 year old that wouldn't want their phone with them) and a solar powered battery pack.
You are hosting a dinner party for 6 - who are the five other guests?
I would invite:
Marques Brownlee (YouTuber MKBHD) - to talk tech with him and ask him how he got so good at editing his YouTube videos.
Hussain Makke - an amazing Islamic scholar. I would love to speak to him and be around him.
Javad Shomali – a Researcher and Lecturer on Islamic Studies at the University of Cambridge. I would love to talk to him about how to be a good human being based on the teachings of Islam and what his take is on how to help others.
Khalil Jaffer – an Islamic lecturer who also worked in Software Development before he started lecturing/speaking. I would love to sit and talk to him about Islam.
Tim Ferris – an American entrepreneur, investor, author, and lifestyle guru. He has written numerous books on how to help you be successful in life, so it would be interesting to speak to him!

What attracted you to the role at Rubitek?
Rubitek is a company that I have followed for around 7 months and during this time I have had the time to look at the company and the people that drive it. What attracted me was my belief in the service that Rubitek is offering and the products it is developing. The business is passionate about improving the outcomes for apprentices. Knowing I get to be a part of that is very rewarding.
